The Challenge:
The traffic control planner will utilize TxDOT and MUTCD guidelines to develop comprehensive schematics for traffic management plans.

What you'll do:
Utilize software (Invarion) to produce full-scale and intricate traffic management plans.
Draft plans for traffic control layouts based on directives provided by engineers.
Examine construction documents to formulate traffic management plans.
Conduct site visits to collect data necessary for completing designs.
Identify the types of materials required and compute the quantities to be procured.
Collaborate with an engineer to generate cost estimates, contracts, and other documentation essential for individual projects.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

What you'll need to succeed:
A passion for collaborating with others.
The ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
A solid understanding of traffic management procedures and plans.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Capability to read, interpret, and clarify state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances related to traffic management.
Completion of the ATSSA Traffic Control Design Specialist Course within 30 days of employment.
