We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at ConGlobal in Charlotte, NC.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 based on industry standards and local cost of living.

Job Summary

This role involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment within our terminals. As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising mechanics, identifying problems with mechanical systems, and executing solutions.

You will also be responsible for maintaining routine maintenance schedules, reading and documenting repairs using established reporting systems, and performing welding tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of mechanics to ensure efficient and safe operation of heavy equipment
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Maintain routine maintenance schedules to prevent equipment downtime
  • Document repairs and maintain accurate records
  • Perform welding tasks as needed
  • Operate diesel or electric powered automatic semi-trailer mover
  • Communicate effectively with terminal operators, mechanics, and office staff via two-way radio
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Previous crane mechanic experience is a plus
  • Hydraulic systems experience required (pumps, valves, motors, filters, and hoses)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Able to work in various weather conditions
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills
