Spectre Primer Technologies is seeking a skilled technician to operate a sophisticated sputter coater and assist in the research and development of innovative technologies. As a startup based in Florida, we are establishing a facility in Loveland, CO. While prior experience with machinery or a foundational understanding of sputtering and thin film deposition is advantageous, we provide comprehensive on-the-job training for all new hires. Typical working hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM, with occasional weekends and evenings required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage coating equipment for the production and advancement of thin film coatings.
  • Prepare chambers and materials, including substrate cleaning and loading, as well as coating initiation and completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of coating data and material logs.
  • Monitor coating and chamber parameters to ensure optimal process control.
  • Stay vigilant regarding tool and chamber performance, promptly notifying maintenance of any equipment concerns.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams for process development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Technical aptitude: A fundamental understanding of scientific principles and a keen interest in technology.
  • Attention to detail: Strong focus and the ability to adhere to precise procedures.
  • Problem-solving skills: Capability to troubleshoot equipment or process challenges.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with thin film deposition methods (e.g., sputtering, evaporation).
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering.

Compensation:

Annual salary ranges from $45,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience.
