Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Technologist is a key member of the Phoebe Physicians team, responsible for providing clinical and technical support in the cardiovascular department. This role requires a high level of competence in cardiac invasive procedural skills, including surgical scrub, hemodynamic monitoring, and clinical data computation and acquisition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-call coverage as assigned and as rotations require
  • Perform duties in Cath Lab, EP lab, and Interventional Vascular Lab as needed on a daily basis
  • Acquire and manage cardiac imaging data using PACS
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Adhere to hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
  • Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission, and vision of Phoebe Physicians
  • Maintain current knowledge in present areas of responsibility through self-education and ongoing educational programs
  • Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory in-services and requirements on time
  • Demonstrate competency in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs
Working Conditions
  • Work in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area with moderate noise levels
  • May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights
  • May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms
  • May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
  • Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur
Qualifications
  • 2-year/Associate Degree in an Accredited Cardiovascular Program
  • 1-2 years of Cardiovascular Technology Experience
  • Required Certifications/Licensures: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Radiology Tech (ARRT)
