Clinic LPN Job Summary

Covington County Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinic team on a PRN basis. As a Clinic LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient education and consultation to explain and define complicated medical treatments and procedures.
  • Perform injection training and medication education.
  • Assist the provider in delivering the highest quality of medical care in a productive and efficient manner.
  • Understand the mechanics of the clinic and how the job interrelates with other clinic teams to meet the goals of the clinic.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
Requirements:
  • Current license with the MS State Board of Nursing.
  • BLS certification.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Skills:
  • Clinic procedures gained through education.
  • Electronic medical records.
  • On-job training.
  • Cause and effect of orders after verifying accuracy.
  • Medical equipment and maintenance.
  • Medical terminology.
  • HIPPA regulations.
  • Intramuscular injection technique and subcutaneous injection technique.
  • Reporting of incidents and injuries.
  • Universal Precautions.

Position: PRN - As Needed; Some weekends required.
