Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Boiler Technician, Class II to V to join our team. As a key member of our HVAC service team, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing condensing, non-condensing, water tube, fire tube, and pulse type boilers. You will utilize your knowledge of heating systems and associated burner/control systems to maintain our current boiler customer base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Test and commission new and existing boiler installations.
  2. Troubleshoot, service, repair, retrofit, and make recommendations as needed to return customer boilers, burners, and controls to fully function condition.
  3. Diagnose and repair condensing, non-condensing, water tube, fire tube, and pulse type boilers.
  4. Completion of internal and external inspections of boilers, burners, and associated controls that determine function ability and expected service life.
  5. Repair and/or replace refractory, gaskets, parts, and miscellaneous controls.
  6. Evaluate basic boiler room systems (steam and hydronic), gather information, and help solve problems.
  7. Retrofit boiler control systems.
  8. Perform routine and annual inspections including cleaning of water and fire sides of boiler.
  9. Schedule preventive maintenance and respond to service calls for assigned customer contract base.
Qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in boiler maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and servicing boilers from light commercial to industrial water-tube on a variety of boiler types and manufacturers. Experience on boiler fire control systems and understanding all aspects of boiler safety and operation are essential. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are also required to ensure effective teamwork and customer relations.
