Role Overview
The Obstetric Surgical Technician plays a vital role in assisting surgeons during cesarean deliveries and ensuring that the surgical environment is properly equipped for these procedures. Additionally, the Surgical Technician is responsible for cleaning, wrapping, and sending all instruments to Central Service for sterilization, ensuring that labor and delivery rooms are well-stocked and ready, and providing support to Labor and Delivery nurses as necessary. While most situations are routine, the ability to adapt to urgent or critical scenarios is essential. This role requires a service-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills to support the delivery of care and services to patients from various backgrounds. Independent decision-making is expected in carrying out daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Ability to secure a Surgical Technician License within 90 days of employment
- Current Health Care Provider level CPR certification
- Preferred: Minimum one (1) year of experience in Obstetrics or in the Operating Room

As mandated by various pay transparency laws, we provide a competitive salary range for candidates in each position. The pay scale is $45.77 USD. However, compensation is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certifications and/or education. If this position is governed by a union contract, compensation will align with the appropriate step on the pay scale based on the applicant's years of experience.
