About the Opportunity

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Pathologist to join our team at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. As a Forensic Pathologist, you will play a critical role in investigating deaths and determining the cause and manner of death.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct autopsies and perform microscopic examinations to determine the cause and manner of death
  • Investigate deaths and gather evidence to support conclusions
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Develop and present educational programs and workshops on forensic pathology and related topics
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in forensic pathology and apply this knowledge to improve practice
Requirements
  • Board certification as a forensic pathologist
  • Current licensure in the State of New Mexico
  • Experience with CT scans and other diagnostic imaging modalities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
