Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Center for Vein Restoration. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and medical services related to venous insufficiency under the supervision of a physician.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories
  • Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests; identify abnormal results and bring these to the attention of the attending physician
  • Work closely with Nursing, Surgical and Vascular Lab Staff
  • Provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans under the direction of the attending physician
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Formulate a multimodality treatment strategy for the patients' venous insufficiency under the direction of the attending physician
  • Assist in medical procedures as requested by the attending physician
  • Educate patients on treatment options, recommendations of the attending physician and assists patient in scheduling treatments
  • Participate in telephone communication with patients as needed
  • Create a letter of medical necessity when required by patient insurance company
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Be involved with all continuity of care initiatives, including one month, six month and then annual follow ups
  • Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records; complete all work within established time requirements
  • Train new clinical staff as needed
  • Work together with the team members at the center(s) to reach center goals
  • Assist in community events CVR sponsors as needed
  • Attend periodic team meetings
  • Process medical instruments and medical waste per CVR standards
  • Adhere to all infection control, universal precautions and safety policies
  • Utilize appropriate customer service skills during interactions with patients, physicians visitors, staff, and other personnel
  • Other duties as assigned by management, or clinical director
Requirements
  • Must be licensed Physician Assistant
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous PA experience required
  • Must have reliable transportation
