Lantana Consulting Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Public Health Data Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Public Health Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of novel digital quality measures for hospitals and other healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities- Data Analysis: Access and analyze complex data from various sources, including healthcare datasets, to provide actionable insights for our clients.
- Analytics and Reporting: Conduct analyses in SAS and Python, interpret, summarize, and present findings to relevant stakeholders, including clients, management, and staff.
- Data Quality and Management: Manipulate datasets, perform quality checks on analytic deliverables, and maintain public-health expertise to ensure high-quality data and analytics.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate analytic advice and data-science methodology to clients, management, and staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, develop, and implement validation activities and healthcare-quality measurement programs.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or related discipline, and at least twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: Experience using SAS to import data, manipulate data/datasets, and conduct analyses to evaluate data quality and accuracy, as well as experience using R or Python.
- Additional Requirements: Ability to learn new tasks quickly, attention to detail when developing materials, reviewing documentation, troubleshooting issues, and reporting results, and ability to successfully complete a Position of Public Trust Level 5 background investigation.
- Advanced Education: Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
- Technical Expertise: Experience importing a variety of data types (including XML, JSON, CSV, and XSLX) into SAS, experience working with national contracts/datasets, and experience with data modernization and/or automation.
