Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Northwest Physicians Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient examinations and treatments
  • Conduct vital sign measurements, including pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height
  • Perform venipuncture and other procedures as directed by physicians within the scope of practice
  • Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and assist with front desk duties as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant certificate required or must obtain certification within six months of employment
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment
  • Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and/or one year experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and experience with patient check-in and check-out process
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
