Machinist - Manufacturing Process Developer

Job Summary:
Nova Biomedical is seeking a skilled Proto Trak Machinist to join our team in Waltham, MA. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and fabricating fixtures for various manufacturing and R&D assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new fixtures and tooling from work request forms and verbal instructions
- Accommodate the needs of individuals requiring machine shop services, including fixtures, R&D requests, tooling, and equipment repair
- Repair or improve existing fixtures while documenting changes
Qualifications:
- Ability to set up and operate various shop equipment, including Proto Trak milling machines, manual lathes, CNC millers, and CNC lathes
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Proficient in basic math and able to read and write English
- Working knowledge of engineering drawings and shop metrology equipment
Education and Experience:
- 2-year technical school degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of machine shop experience
- Proficient CNC programming skills a plus
