We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at Wellpath. As a Radiology Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare examination rooms and position patients and equipment to administer radiopharmaceuticals and obtain clear, usable diagnostic images.
- Monitor patients during examinations to ensure their safety and prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
- Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences and adjust density or contrast as necessary.
- Report important information to the Physician, update patients' records, and perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and offering pre-procedure advice.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment and perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient daily procedure schedules for emergencies and adequate monitoring of radiographic supplies.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology Program.
- Experience: Minimum of one year clinical experience preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Must have and maintain current certification within the state. Must also obtain and maintain CPR certification.
