Job Summary:

Health Alliance seeks a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Radiography Technologist, you will be responsible for operating Cat Scan equipment to take radiographs of various body parts, assisting physicians in disease diagnosis and foreign body detection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Cat Scan equipment to take radiographs of designated body parts.
  • Assist clinical providers with procedures, treatments, and therapies using sterile techniques.
  • Adjust imaging equipment for each examination, ensuring radiation dose standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot Radiology Imaging equipment/systems as needed.
  • Assist in staff and student orientation, serving as a resource person and professional role model.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • One year of experience in a hospital x-ray department or private radiological laboratory.
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Certification Program or Associate's Degree.
  • Valid license and current registration issued by the New York State Department of Health as a Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiography.
  • Certification and current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography.
