Join The Bancorp Bank, N.A. as a Real Estate Bridge Lending Analyst and play a central role in the lending process. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in all aspects of the origination and underwriting of new commercial real estate bridge loans, assist with the asset management of existing bridge loans, and participate in secondary capital markets transactions.
Responsibilities:- Build and maintain financial models to perform analysis under different operating scenarios.
- Perform full valuation, DSCR, and debt yield analyses on real estate collateral nationwide.
- Participate in day-to-day deal execution, interacting with senior deal team members, client management teams, transaction counterparties, and other advisors.
- Manage due diligence processes, including preparing virtual data rooms, tracking, and coordinating the information flow, and reviewing and analyzing company, sponsor, and market information.
- Order and review third-party appraisals, environmental, engineering, zoning, insurance, title, and legal papers.
- Prepare asset summary reports, responses to investors, corporate inquiries, and credit committee presentations.
- Monitor current events related to real estate capital markets and commercial real estate nationwide.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Commercial real estate experience.
- Strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills.
- Broad knowledge of commercial real estate, as well as a basic understanding of legal and tax considerations.
- Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner.
- Ability to conduct thorough, independent research.
- Experience analyzing commonly used financial statements.
- Outstanding ethics, integrity, and judgment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a passion for commercial real estate.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity.
- Team player, able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
- Position will require travel of up to 25%.
