Job Title: Field Technician / Mechanic II/III

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Field Technician / Mechanic II/III to join our team in the Huntsville, AL / North Alabama operations area. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repairs on heavy trucks, heavy equipment, and asphalt equipment, as well as troubleshooting and diagnosing complex service issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance on construction equipment and dump trucks.
  • Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.
  • Complete maintenance and work order repair records.
  • Be able to weld and fabricate, as needed.
  • Heavy equipment parts familiarization including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost of heavy equipment parts.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment.
  • Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
Qualifications:
  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence and able to perform all duties under DOT regulations & company safety policies and practices.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working on construction equipment and on-road trucks.
  • Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
  • Experience performing DOT Annual Inspections preferred.
  • Ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist, and lift 70lbs.
  • Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 20 feet.
  • Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
  • Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.
