Job SummaryThe Site Supervisor oversees the daily operation of the child development center, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children and families. This role requires strong organizational and conflict management skills, as well as the ability to uphold licensing regulations and supervise staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day operations of the Center, including coordinating volunteers and interns, monitoring staff schedules, and approving ordering of supplies and materials.
- Ensure program staffing needs are met, including recruitment and hiring, in collaboration with the Program Director.
- Monitor and follow through on required assessments and screenings, such as ITERS, ECERS, and DRDP's.
- Maintain positive relationships with parents/guardians and children, meeting their cultural and linguistic needs.
- Work to address parent/guardian issues and help plan and coordinate Lead Teacher meetings to address Center goals and issues.
- Work effectively with other FACES SF employees and programs, as well as partner with other organizations, consultants, and professionals.
- Hold or qualify for the California Child Development Site Supervisor permit.
- At least three years managing a child development center.
- Three years plus years managing staff.
- Strong organizational and conflict management skills.
- Three years classroom experience in ECE setting.
- Experience with state or federally funded child care programs preferred.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to meet required state, federal, local, and CDC standards.
- Annual salary between $90,000 - $105,000 based on experience.
- Healthcare premiums 100% paid for employees and 25% paid for dependents.
- Three weeks of vacation, twelve sick days, paid holidays, including one-week winter closure between Christmas and New Year's.
