  • Utilizing technical expertise to analyze engineering schematics and ascertain requirements and
specifications essential for the construction of metal structures.

  • Adhering to blueprints and layout specifications to accurately position, align, and fit components for optimal welding quality and efficiency.
  • Configuring welding machines with appropriate wire speeds to achieve superior welds across various materials
and thicknesses.

  • Executing welding tasks in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead orientations while assessing weld quality
against established specifications, including bead size standards.

  • Preparing welds using hand scrapers, grinders, and sanders as necessary to ready surfaces for finishing.
  • Expertly operating cutting torches, band saws, ironworkers, grinders, and other fabrication tools as
required.

  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean workspace.
  • Applying filler rods for welding stainless steel and aluminum.
  • Cleaning stainless and aluminum weld joints using wire brushes, portable grinders, or chemical solutions.
  • Ensuring quality and productivity by completing tasks efficiently.

Production Knowledge:

Tools Utilized:
Welding machines, grinders, sanders, basic hand tools (hammers, clamps, etc.), forklifts, overhead cranes, ironworkers, cutting torches, and band saws.

Technical Proficiency:
Capability to interpret and process engineering drawings and cut-sheet documentation. Proficient in measurement, squaring, and mathematical skills. Competent in MIG or Flux-core welding.

Computer and Electronics Knowledge:
Familiarity with computer hardware and software, including applications and programming such as Microsoft Office Suite.
