Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

St. James Hospital is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our clinical team. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the provider with patient care and carry out routine clinical duties under their supervision.
  • Deliver care in a professional, caring, and courteous manner, making safety-driven decisions while providing patient care.
  • Participate in department-wide team initiatives and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Accurately record observations, obtain and document vital signs, and provide excellent communication and leadership skills.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing with a permit or license to practice in New York State.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Ability to move or transfer patients with an individual effort equal to 50 lbs and stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently during a 12-hour shift.
Working Conditions:

Potential exposure to bio-hazardous materials, toxic chemicals, and communicable disease. Handles emergency or crisis situations, may perform emergency care. Occasionally subjected to irregular hours, contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances.

Salary: $23.63-$26.06 per hour.
