About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Psychiatric Technician I/II to join our team at the County of Humboldt CA. In this role, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Patient Care: Provide one-on-one support and care to patients with mental health conditions, including those with severe and persistent mental illness;
  • Medication Administration: Assist with medication administration, wound care, and other basic medical procedures;
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records;
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans;
  • Crisis Intervention: Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques;

Compensation and Benefits: The salary for this position is estimated to be around $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement plan.

Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as completion of a state-approved psychiatric technician training program. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
