Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Service Representative Float to join our team at Franciscan Health. As a Float Patient Service Representative, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients, family members, and visitors, while also handling various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exemplary customer service, greeting and directing patients, family members, and other visitors
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct callers to appropriate staff for assistance
  • Schedule appointments and accurately enter data into the scheduling system
  • Register patients and enter or update demographic and insurance information into the EMR system
  • Communicate with clinical staff to maintain patient flow and update waiting patients
  • Collect patient payments, apply payments and adjustments to patient accounts, and balance daily encounter forms and cash drawers
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 1 year of customer service experience required
  • 1 year of healthcare experience preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
