Position Summary:
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of air filtration systems, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing settings. A background in HVAC systems is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess client requirements and engage in project discussions with both internal and external design teams for Air Quality Control Systems, including exhaust ducts and waste air treatment solutions.
- Support the design and execution of HVAC piping, as well as water and chemical supply systems.
- Clarify project specifications with stakeholders and ensure compliance with established guidelines.
- Assist in the procurement process for necessary equipment and materials related to air quality systems.
- Interpret isometric drawings, P&ID, and CAD schematics relevant to air quality systems.
- Oversee the installation of air quality systems, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
- Conduct inspections of ongoing work to confirm compliance with specifications and project schedules.
- Analyze progress reports, material usage, and costs, making adjustments to schedules as necessary.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage change orders.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports for internal use and client updates.
- Identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Manage project timelines and execution.
- Review technical drawings and specifications, providing accurate estimations.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are essential for this role:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical HVAC, with a preference for candidates with direct experience in air quality systems.
Skills and Competencies:
- Comprehensive knowledge of exhaust duct sizing and scrubber mechanisms for waste air treatment.
- Proficient in HVAC piping systems, including water and chemical supply lines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software such as AutoCAD and Primavera.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on project demands.
- Strong communication skills for presenting information to various stakeholders.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors.
- Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining professionalism.
- Comfortable working in a construction site environment.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Mandarin/Taiwanese is a plus.
- Adept at interpreting safety guidelines and operational manuals.
Additional Considerations:
- Must possess a valid driver's license and may need to travel for work-related tasks.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves lifting up to 50 lbs for transporting materials and documents. It requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent movement between various site locations.
