Job Overview

This role is essential for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Medical Management Team (MMT) and healthcare providers. The Medical Coordinator will manage correspondence, maintain organized records, and offer administrative assistance to senior medical leadership. This position requires handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support: Provide executive-level support to the Chief Medical Officer and Regional Medical Directors, ensuring smooth operations within the medical team.

Provider Recruitment:

  • Screen candidate résumés for relevant experience and qualifications.
  • Prepare summaries and coordinate interview schedules for potential hires.

Provider Credentialing:

  • Facilitate the hiring process in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Ensure all credentialing documents are current and accurate.

Onboarding Coordination:

  • Distribute updated policies and coordinate meetings for new providers.
  • Create onboarding templates tailored to specific roles.

Meeting Coordination:

  • Manage logistics for provider meetings, including scheduling and agenda preparation.
  • Assist in documenting meeting minutes and follow-up actions.

Provider Support:

  • Coordinate provider schedules and assist with administrative tasks.
  • Monitor and track continuing medical education (CME) submissions.

Communication:

  • Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Address provider inquiries and issues with a solutions-oriented approach.
Qualifications

Education: An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with at least two years of experience in an executive support role, ideally within the healthcare sector.

Skills: Strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. The candidate should be adept at managing multiple priorities and demonstrating initiative and attention to detail.
