Job Summary

The Scaffold Builder Helper will provide critical support to our construction team by assisting with the construction, dismantling, and repair of wooden and metal scaffolds and auxiliary structures. This role requires a strong understanding of building techniques and materials, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the identification and procurement of necessary tools and materials.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols to minimize hazards.
  • Measure, mark, and cut materials to precise specifications.
  • Support the construction, reinforcement, and dismantling of pre-constructed scaffolds.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to build and construct wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12-16 months of experience as a scaffold builder helper.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, tools, and processes.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work a full schedule and additional overtime as needed.
  • Commitment to working safely and following all safety protocols.
  • Adherence to company and site rules and regulations.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift/lift above head for extended periods.
  • Effective communication and hearing skills.
  • Use of arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, and moving of up to 30lbs.
  • Work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, work off of platforms and man lifts, and occasionally work on open structures using appropriate fall protection.
