About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a Hotel Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and equipment, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
  • Identify and repair maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical problems
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed
  • Communicate with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues and provide excellent customer service
  • Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external sprinkler systems
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and guests
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds
  • Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders
  • Ability to enter and locate work-related information using computers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building
  • Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes
