Compensation: $22.00 per hour

We are seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator. This role operates 24/7, monitoring all security, communication, and fire/life safety systems while serving as the primary liaison among all security departments. The SOC Operator is accountable for the precise documentation of both routine and exceptional events occurring on or near the facilities and for maintaining control of all equipment and keys within the Control Room. This position also entails completing task work orders for reported maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all security, communication, and fire/life safety systems within the assigned area using the designated monitoring systems
  • Actively monitor surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs, responding to all security/life safety system alarms
  • Answer and address events and situations via regular and emergency communication channels; provide clear directions and guidance during emergencies
  • Serve as the intermediary between all departments and the security team
  • Promptly relay complaints and critical event information to the Shift Supervisor, Account Manager, and Security Director
  • Accurately document both routine and unusual occurrences on or near the facilities using established reporting methods
  • Maintain strict control of all equipment and keys in the Control Room, logging all items signed out and returned by staff
  • Complete task work orders for all reported maintenance issues
  • Notify the Shift Supervisor / Account Manager immediately of any missing, damaged, or malfunctioning equipment or systems
  • Manage and monitor two-way communication systems
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary in accordance with site Post Orders
  • Provide recommendations for productivity improvements and cost reductions to management
  • Suggest enhancements for physical security assessments and post orders
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Licensing requirements may vary based on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be necessary prior to employment.
  • Must possess one or more of the following qualifications:
    • Experience in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement or security (e.g., Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat roles) or any support role in a Combat Zone
    • Graduation from a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighting
    • Bachelor's degree in protective services, business, or a related field
    • A minimum of 8 years of active service in any military branch
    • Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in criminal justice with current or prior active military service
    • 2 years of experience in public sector dispatch or emergency operations center
    • 2 years of verifiable data center security experience
    • 3 years of verifiable private/corporate security experience
Required Skills:
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
