Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Transportation Engineer, you will:

  • Lead and mentor interdisciplinary teams in the execution of complex transportation projects.
  • Develop comprehensive plans for signing, pavement markings, traffic signalization, and maintenance of traffic for various roadway projects.
  • Utilize advanced software tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Synchro to design sustainable transportation networks.
  • Conduct feasibility analyses, corridor studies, and design guidance for multimodal transportation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clients and staff to produce high-quality feasibility studies, concept plans, and construction documents.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A professional engineering license in Colorado.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or transportation engineering.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in transportation project design and management.
  • Proficiency in transportation engineering software and a strong understanding of Complete Streets and multimodal design principles.
  • Experience with local agency permit processes and operational analysis.
