Job Title: Slab Plumbing Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Slab Plumbing Specialist to join our team at Stancil Painting and Drywall. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing underground plumbing systems for new homes and townhomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to determine exact specifications and where plumbing systems will be installed.
  • Determine water supply networks and waste drainage systems.
  • Coordinate with project managers on installation.
  • Install systems used to transport water, waste, gases, or liquids.
  • Select all materials needed for installation, including type and size of pipe.
  • Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings.
  • Observe pressure gauges to fix leaks.
  • Test pipe systems and fix leaks.
  • Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded.

Requirements:

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and plumbing materials, including knowledge of fitting sizes and types of piping.
  • Motivated and works well with others.
  • OSHA10 preferred.
  • Willingness to embrace change in a growing company.

The position occasionally may require lifting heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Individuals may occasionally be exposed to hazardous conditions, high places, and/or hazardous equipment. May work with or around chemicals that require knowledge of a safety data sheet. This position requires working in an outdoors environment.

Individuals may be exposed to varying temperatures, including very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32 degrees F), and all-weather conditions. Individuals may be exposed to cramped workspaces, contaminants, extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
