Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to join our team at Trane Technologies in Columbia, SC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our production shift, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Production Shift: Oversee the daily activities of production associates, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.
  • Implement Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall performance.
  • Lead Daily Problem-Solving Activities: Facilitate daily problem-solving activities with teams to address process improvements and resolve issues.
  • Develop Department Budgets: Create and manage department budgets to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Ensure Effective Associate Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, ensuring fair and consistent employment practices.
  • Communicate with Leadership and Employees: Serve as a primary communication vehicle between leadership and production employees, ensuring clear and timely communication of company goals, objectives, and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Business Degree: A degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • Manufacturing Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on operations, quality, and process improvement.
  • Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Experience: Experience with lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
