Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist I to join our team at Amcor plc. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating manual and CNC machine shop equipment to manufacture a wide range of parts and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual and CNC machine shop equipment to manufacture parts and components
  • Perform set-ups for all types of jobs and design and manufacture jigs or fixtures when required
  • Read and interpret blueprints and use basic shop inspection tools and equipment to ensure parts meet defined tolerance and quality expectations
  • Perform routine basic maintenance on shop equipment as required
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agency standards, as well as safety policies established for Amcor plc
Requirements
  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent job experience
  • Ability to program and operate CNC equipment
  • Good working knowledge of machine shop methods and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs., sit and or stand up to 8-10 hrs. at a time, stairs, & ladders when necessary
