Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Document Imaging Specialist to join our team at Johns Hopkins Health System. As a key member of our HIM Operations team, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of document imaging functions for our electronic health record.

Responsibilities
  • Retrieve medical records from patient care areas and transport them to the imaging department
  • Prep, scan, and index paper medical record documentation
  • Ensure the integrity of the electronic health record by meeting productivity and quality expectations
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to privacy and security regulations
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior medical office experience or document processing/scanning/indexing or Health Information Management experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
