About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Custodian to join our team at Western Albemarle High School. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our facilities, while also providing excellent customer service to students, teachers, and visitors.

Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Performing routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting;
  • Emptying trash and restocking paper products;
  • Vacuuming and caring for building carpeting;
  • Washing windows and furniture;
  • Responding to requests from school administrators and staff to include minor maintenance, moving furniture, unloading and storing deliveries, setting up and taking down for functions and student activities;

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • One year of work experience in a customer service, custodial, or janitorial setting;
  • A valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia (depending on assignment);
  • The ability to lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds continuously, 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally;
  • Good physical health to meet the physical demands of the job.
