About the Position

Astec Industries is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop accurate project specifications and ensure all engineering documents are up to date.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to design, develop, and implement technical products and systems.
  • Conduct design for manufacture assessments to ensure that final designs support lean manufacturing principles, build quantity, cost, and performance requirements.
  • Administer design history and practice proper engineering document control processes to ensure drawings are up to date.
  • Work towards identifying commonality in design to assist with manufacturing standardization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience.
  • Proven ability to influence, lead teams, and drive change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in a combination of software packages, including MS Office Suite and AutoDesk Design Suite.
