Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Recycling Yard Manager to oversee all aspects of our yard operations at Harmon Scrap Metal. As a key member of our team, you will develop and implement strategies to optimize productivity and profitability while building strong relationships with customers, management, and your team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and profitability
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for enhancement
  • Lead by example and guide your team in achieving operational goals and maintaining high standards of excellence
  • Manage inventory, open and close the yard, and complete housekeeping duties

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of management experience
  • 3+ years of recycling processing experience
  • Knowledge about ferrous and non-ferrous metals
  • Familiarity with finances, business principles, and operations management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to inspire others
  • High school diploma or equivalent

A bachelor's degree or heavy equipment experience would be preferred.
