RN Sepsis Stroke Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled RN Sepsis Stroke Coordinator to join our team at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital. As a key member of our quality improvement team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that we provide exceptional care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Collect, review, and analyze stroke outcome data to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety to complete West Florida Division and Corporate reporting requirements.
- Work closely with providers, coding, and Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists to ensure accurate documentation of patient care.
- Coordinate the Disease Specific Certification related to Stroke, maintaining the program according to Joint Commission/DNV standards and elements of performance.
- Develop and maintain knowledge and competency related to care of the stroke patient, including clinical practice guidelines, HCA metrics and data, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association information/initiatives, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale, and other applicable guidelines/initiatives.
- Demonstrate leadership to promote teamwork and facilitate problem-solving tasks, using critical thinking techniques.
- Current Florida RN license
- RN, BSN Preferred
- 3-5 years clinical experience, with Critical Care or ER experience preferred, as well as Neuro experience.
- Familiarity with The Joint Commission, Medicare, and State requirements.
- Extensive computer knowledge and experience required, with emphasis on EMR, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HPF applications.
