We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in our pediatric practice.
Key Responsibilities- Review patient medical history and current status to ensure accurate care.
- Conduct patient interviews and obtain vital statistics as needed.
- Perform laboratory tests, administer vaccines, and provide nebulization treatments under established standards.
- Document patient reactions to medications and treatments, reporting to nursing staff and providers as needed.
- Provide patient education and anticipatory guidance, adhering to office policies and provider instructions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff, demonstrating a caring attitude.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Active Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- At least six (6) months of direct patient care experience as a CCMA/RMA Medical Assistant - one year or greater is strongly preferred.
- Experience administering immunizations for pediatric patients is strongly preferred.
- Practical understanding of OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC Guidelines.
