Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret work orders, verify materials, and adhere to instructions for the timely and quality completion of assigned projects.
  • Fabricate signage according to specified requirements and timelines established by the Fabrication Manager.
  • Utilize internal production software to track job progress, including updating hours, closing work orders, and documenting materials and procedures.
  • Communicate any changes or delays to the Fabrication Supervisor and Manager.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve project-related issues and ensure efficient production.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the day.
  • Care for and maintain assigned tools and equipment.
  • Monitor material inventory to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Adhere to established quality standards to avoid rework and missed deadlines.
  • Conduct quality checks upon project completion.
Additional Duties
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, tools, and equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Required Skills
  • Experience in welding, metal fabrication, auto collision, or carpentry.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly in a Windows environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong foundational math skills.
  • Hands-on work experience.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to lift materials weighing up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
  • Capability to troubleshoot issues, follow instructions, and multitask effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in the signage industry.
  • Familiarity with table saws and panel saws.
  • Knowledge of fastening techniques.
  • Understanding of electrical wiring and components.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
