Operations Trainee

Position Overview

The Operations Intern will gain valuable insights into management practices while assisting the APU Manager and operational leaders within our Hot Mill APU (Autonomous Production Unit). This role emphasizes supporting production workflows and enhancing daily operations through effective leadership strategies aimed at elevating work quality.

Key Responsibilities:

The Operations Intern will engage in experiences akin to those of an operations lead, which may include the following tasks:

• Organizing meetings and documenting discussions
• Managing and prioritizing various assignments concurrently
• Effectively communicating through visual, oral, and written mediums using necessary technologies
• Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, while also being open to learning proprietary software. Basic Excel skills are essential.
• Reviewing and revising standard operating procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with operators, supervisors, and management to enhance process efficiency
• Maintaining a strong safety orientation
• Supporting additional special projects, engagement initiatives, and tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or having completed a bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with a strong emphasis on spreadsheet applications
• High standards of integrity, accuracy, reliability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality
• Excellent organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to meet deadlines in a multitasking, team-oriented environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills sufficient for interaction with all organizational levels, visitors, and clients
• Ability to interpret and understand instructions and information
• Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Minimal physical effort is required
