Job Summary

The Milwaukee Repertory Theater is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Part-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our theater and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our staff and patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, to ensure the upkeep of our theater and facilities.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate building automation systems, including HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
  • Grounds Upkeep: Maintain the exterior of our building, including snow shoveling and grounds upkeep.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our facilities team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
Requirements
  • Availability: Must be available to work a schedule during typical work hours, some evenings, and/or weekends.
  • Technical Skills: Possess basic mechanical and computer skills, with the ability to learn new skills quickly.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit and remain in a stationary position for up to 70% of the time, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and work on ladders.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle (preferred).
  • Background Check: Ability to successfully pass a background check.
