Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer III to join our team at Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Operate and maintain hotel vehicles and equipment, including forklifts and generators.
  • Assist with inventory management and requisitioning of parts and supplies as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background in a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and tools, with a focus on safety and ergonomics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience in a hotel engineering or maintenance role.
  • Experience with energy management systems and energy-efficient technologies.
  • Knowledge of local and national codes and regulations related to hotel engineering and maintenance.
