Job Title: Lead Behavioral Health Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Banyan Treatment Centers. As a Lead Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients.

Job Summary:

The Lead Behavioral Health Technician will serve as a lead on shift, providing guidance and support to other technicians as needed. This individual will be responsible for communicating with supervisors and directors, providing exceptional quality care, and promoting patient safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serves as Lead on shift, providing guidance and support to other technicians as needed.
  • Communicates with supervisors and directors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provides exceptional quality care to clients, respecting their trials, tribulations, and victories in their recovery journey.
  • Observes, monitors, and documents client behaviors, in accordance with facility and state requirements.
  • Promotes and supports patient safety at all times, demonstrating an ability to deescalate situations.
  • Provides emotional support for clients by referring them to clinical staff, communicates with nursing and medical staff as needed, and safely transports clients.
  • Completes urine drug screenings and supervises the self-administration of medication as necessary.
Requirements:
  • 1 or more years of work experience as a Lead BHT in the substance abuse or mental health field.
  • Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, in compliance with motor vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Ability to clear a Level II background screening through AHCA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • An associate's degree (or higher) and/or relevant certification (CBHT).
