Join Our Team as a Part-Time Registered Nurse in Women's Services

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Women's Services team at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital. As a part-time Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

About the Position:

This part-time Registered Nurse position is responsible for providing nursing care to patients in our 15-bed Women's Services Department. You will work predominately 12-hour shifts, two shifts per week, and will be expected to:

  • Record all pertinent data on patient's medical record accurately, clearly, and concisely
  • Perform technical aspects of patient care according to established policy and procedure
  • Assure the safety and privacy of patients at all times
  • Demonstrate accurate interpretation and documentation of fetal monitor tracing
  • Safely and successfully place fetal scalp electrode when need identified and appropriate
  • Demonstrate skills needed to safely and efficiently prepare patient for C-section
  • Demonstrate understanding of physician orders for postpartum patients
  • Identify changing patient needs and alter nursing care appropriately
  • Verbalize and demonstrate understanding of epidural anesthesia protocol
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in assisting during vaginal delivery, including vacuum or forceps delivery
  • Assist appropriately with newborn cares at delivery

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree or higher in nursing
  • Experience: Previous clinical experience in medical and obstetrical nursing preferred
  • Requirements: Current Nevada RN license, American Heart Association Certifications: BLS (within 30 days of hire), ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation within 90 days of hire
