Purpose and Summary:

Constellation Navigation and Trading, LLC is in search of a Field Level Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations for the U.S. Army Pre-Positioned Stock Four (APS-4) Watercraft/Modular Causeway System. This role involves the organization and management of maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards and budget forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the efforts of Field Level Maintenance Technicians
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage technician teams
  • Provide reports on labor execution and work performance
  • Supervise maintenance operations for diverse watercraft and equipment
  • Execute troubleshooting and maintenance tasks as required
  • Lead repair teams and prioritize maintenance assignments
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record maintenance activities
  • Assist the fault repair team as necessary
  • Deliver updates on schedules, costs, and maintenance metrics
  • Manage the ordering of parts and materials
  • Document Engine Logbook entries on a daily basis
  • May undertake Chief Engineer responsibilities when needed
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Experience as a Warrant Officer or Licensed USCG Merchant Mariner/Engineering Officer
  • Familiarity with GCSS-Army and maintenance management systems
  • Preferred certifications in propulsion and power generation systems

Technical Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Possess relevant certifications
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company standards
  • Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for security clearance

Learning and Development:

  • Understanding of company values and operations
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends
  • Skills in conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Techniques for performance assessment
  • Updates on GCSS-Army
  • NACE and NDT certifications

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The role involves a combination of office work and vessel repair activities, requiring adaptability to various working conditions. Tasks may involve exposure to different temperatures and noise levels, as well as physical requirements such as bending, stooping, and lifting. The employee must be capable of navigating computer systems and communicating effectively.
