We are in search of a knowledgeable and versatile Cybersecurity Specialist who possesses a comprehensive understanding of security frameworks such as CISO and NIST. This role will involve close collaboration with prominent clients, managing sensitive data, and ensuring compliance with PCI standards. We are looking for a generalist who can excel within our compliance division, taking ownership and leading initiatives related to network-side firewalls.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization’s data, systems, and applications against cyber threats.
- Conduct a variety of security tasks, including threat detection, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and the implementation of security policies.
- Design, implement, and maintain effective security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and data encryption solutions to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Monitor security logs and alerts for unusual activities and potential breaches.
- Analyze security incidents, investigate potential breaches, and propose suitable remediation strategies.
- Develop and uphold security policies and procedures to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Engage in security assessments and penetration testing to uncover vulnerabilities within our IT infrastructure.
- Participate in incident response protocols and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to incorporate security best practices into operational workflows.
- Document security activities and procedures meticulously.
- Stay informed about the latest security threats and trends.

Skills and Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in a security engineering role or related IT security field.
- Security+ Certification is mandatory.
- Strong grasp of security concepts and principles (e.g., access control, cryptography, network security).
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls).
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages for security automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Extensive experience with PCI Compliance and overall Security Frameworks including NIST CSF, PCI DSS, HITRUST, SOC2, etc.
- Additional relevant security certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CCNA Security).
- Experience in cloud security (Azure).
