Job Title: Windows Server Consultant

Job Overview

We are seeking a Windows Server hybrid infrastructure expert who is interested in developing and enhancing documentation for administrators, engineers, and architects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the content writing team and program managers to prioritize content needs.
  • Engage with stakeholders utilizing the product to gather insights and transform them into customer-ready documentation.
  • Create new articles and revise existing content to reflect the latest features and functionalities, ensuring technical accuracy and SEO optimization.
  • Author documentation and validate configurations for publication.
  • Incorporate reviewer feedback to enhance documentation quality.
  • Deliver documentation in accordance with specifications and priorities set by the team.
  • Utilize content team tools, processes, style guides, and publishing standards to produce high-quality documentation, including GitHub, Markdown language, and Azure DevOps.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Practical knowledge of infrastructure security, particularly with Windows Server.
  • Experience in engaging with external clients on solution design and implementation, especially in on-premises and hybrid environments.
  • Proven experience in authoring documentation for customer designs and implementations, with a focus on adaptive writing styles for diverse audiences.
  • A background in consulting or customer-facing roles.

Optional Skills Required:

  • Experience in technical writing and creating customer-facing content, specifically for IT professionals and DevOps.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-sufficiency.
  • Familiarity with Markdown and GitHub is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, Journalism, English, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.

Location: Remote

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $120K - 130K annually. Factors influencing pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
