- Respond to alarms and notifications from life safety systems, dispatching security personnel as necessary.
- Handle incoming security calls and requests for assistance, ensuring prompt and effective communication.
- Provide essential information to emergency responders, maintaining professionalism and clarity during critical situations.
- Manage the issuance and collection of company property, including communication devices and identification badges.
- Document incidents and maintain accurate logs of security activities.
- Oversee the deployment of security officers during shifts to ensure compliance with assigned duties.
- Conduct foot patrols of designated areas, checking for safety hazards, vandalism, or unusual behavior.
- Assist in securing buildings by verifying that all entry points are locked and secure.
- Investigate and report any unusual occurrences or safety concerns to the security dispatch for further action.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents and safety issues as required.
- Ensure the Access Control System functions correctly, managing door access requests as needed.
- Maintain the Key Control System, activating keys upon request.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Safety, Security, and Parking.
- Screen individuals entering sensitive areas to verify their purpose and authorization.
- Manage lost and found items, responding to inquiries regarding their status.
- Provide accurate information to individuals seeking assistance with directions or operational hours.
- Support administrative functions as needed within the office.
- Perform general cleaning duties to uphold health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Guard Card is mandatory.
- 3-5 years of experience in security is required.
- A valid driver's license with a clean record is essential.
- Proficiency in CCTV operations and radio communication is necessary.
- Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Strong customer service skills and interpersonal abilities are required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with basic reporting capabilities.
- Familiarity with professional phone and email etiquette.
- Flexibility in scheduling is important.
