Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Technologist to join our team in Coos Bay, OR. As a Histology Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists
  • Demonstrate a general knowledge of histologic techniques, procedures, and safety precautions
  • Operate applicable office equipment and software programs
  • Deal effectively interdepartmentally and with the public
  • Maintain confidentiality and think and act independently with minimal supervision
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of experience as a Histology Technologist
  • Well-rounded in all aspects of histology, including embedding, cutting, staining, grossing small biopsies
  • Grossing experience
  • Epic AP experience
Certification Requirements
  • ASCP
Weekend and On-Call Requirements
  • No Weekends
  • No Call
