Education Assistant

Queens Park Primary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Assistant to join our team. As an Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, promoting inclusive learning, and contributing to a positive and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist teachers in delivering planned education programs and encouraging a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work under direct supervision, performing routine tasks that require basic competencies and using established methods and procedures.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and teaching professionals.
- Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of educational programs, including special education and therapy programs.
- Assist with general health and well-being of students, including knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
- Good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with students with special needs, parents, and teaching professionals.
- Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team in the evaluation of educational programs.
- Good organisational skills that will assist in the delivery and development of effective education programs to students and subsequent feedback to teaching professionals or psychologists.
- Ability to assist teachers or therapists in implementing educational programs, including special education and, should this be a requirement of the position, occupational and/or physiotherapy programs.
- Knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
