Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our team at the NIH/NIAID Transplant and IEI Unit. As a key member of our clinical research team, you will provide expert care to patients with complex medical conditions, including Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) and Primary Immunodeficiency patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultative Infectious Disease care for HSCT patients and Primary Immunodeficient patients
  • Teach trainees at all levels who rotate through the Transplant and IEI service
  • Oversee a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for patients with IEI
  • Participate in clinical rounds and conferences
  • Administer and adjust trial medication under the guidance of the Principal Investigator and protocol requirements
Requirements
  • M.D. or D.O. and hold an active, unrestricted medical license in the United States
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology or Infectious Diseases
  • Meet the requirements for credentialing to practice as a physician in the NIH Clinical Center
  • A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience
  • Prior experience in clinical trials management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience focused on Primary Immune Deficiency
  • Infectious Disease background
  • Transplant Infectious disease experience
Work Environment

This position is subject to working with or having potential for exposure to infectious material, requiring medical clearance and immunizations. This position is also subject to atmospheric conditions that would require the usage of a respirator, requiring a medical clearance.
