The role is focused on delivering administrative support within a medical environment while assisting healthcare professionals with clinical tasks. This position acts as a crucial intermediary between patients and the healthcare facility, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate with healthcare staff.
- Facilitate patient registration, confirming insurance details and necessary referrals, while efficiently handling incoming calls.
- Organize and maintain patient medical records in accordance with office protocols, including lab results and other relevant documentation.
- Prepare patients for consultations, providing assistance to those who may require additional support.
- Conduct basic clinical tests as directed by the physician, such as blood draws, EKGs, glucose tests, and lung function tests.
- Ensure clinical spaces and equipment are well-maintained, managing inventory and ordering supplies as required.
- Record vital signs, including blood pressure, weight, and temperature, as necessary.
- Administer vaccinations when needed.
- Provide support across various locations as required.
- Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completion of vocational or technical training, or a minimum of six months of relevant experience is essential.
- Strong background in medical administration is preferred.
- Proficient in formatting and proofreading documents, with excellent communication skills.
